Drifter Bags started in 1977 as a parachute rigging business. Soon they realized their lightweight but durable materials would also be ideal for bags. It all makes perfect sense, right? What doesn't make sense though, is why Drifter is huge in Japan (and elsewhere abroad) but much harder to come by in the U.S. even though they're made in Ohio. Luckily that may be changing a bit thanks to the expert hat-maker and brand collaborator FairEnds, who are retailing six variations of Drifter for Fairends bags ($34-$99) in the U.S. Small victory, but we'll take it!
P.S. Check out this FairEnds Camo Baseball Hat retailing at Madewell ($48).
